I was really hoping I wouldn't have to send this email today, John.
In an ideal scenario, we'd have hit our critical $100,000 end-of-quarter goal several hours ago, and it'd be smooth sailing from now 'til our midnight FEC deadline. But it's my job as Deputy Campaign Manager to let you know that's simply not the case right now.
Here's where we stand as of a few moments ago:
We have just over 12 hours left until our deadline, so here's how we close this gap: If even half of the people reading this decided to chip in, we'd reach our goal with time to spare. John and Gisele are really counting on you to be one of them, John — and as their way of showing their appreciation, they're selecting a handful of folks to call to personally say Thank You.

The reality we're facing right now is that we're still pretty far behind where we'd really hoped to be, with just a few hours to go until midnight.
The reason this Q2 deadline is so important is that it marks the end of the first full fundraising quarter since John joined the race. So we can't afford to come up even a few bucks short of our $100,000 end-of-quarter goal.
