Team --

Yesterday, the Supreme Court blocked the Trump administration from
adding a citizenship question the to 2020 census. But the fight is far from over.

An accurate census is the bedrock of fair representation. Adding a citizenship
question would threaten to silence people of color and result in a census count
that doesn't reflect the diversity of our country. Luckily, the Supreme Court ruled
the administration did not provide adequate justification for the citizenship
question -- but they agreed with the district court's decision to send the matter
back to the Commerce Department. This means there's a chance the question
can still be added.

That's where you come in. All On the Line is working on a multi-pronged approach
to ensure our maps are as fair as possible. We need to encourage all communities,
especially communities of color and immigrant communities, to participate in the
census. That means training more volunteers, and connecting folks like you,
who really care about their communities, with opportunities to get involved.

All of it will take resources to ensure every state gets a fair and accurate count
ahead of redistricting Can you help fuel this fight?

Times like this remind me that even in tough fights, there are small victories. Let's savor
them, but remember to stay vigilant as we keep on marching toward fairness together.

Thanks for all that you do,

Saumya
