Brad Raffensberger, Georgia's Secretary of State, has claimed that Georgia's “election integrity” struggles began in 2018, when Stacey Abrams refused to concede in a tight gubernatorial race marred with voter suppression.

According to him, Abrams is the real person to blame for Americans' distrust in our democracy -- not the countless voter suppression bills Republicans have introduced in battleground states or the GOP's Big Lie.

We know better than to allow Republicans to scapegoat Stacey Abrams for political gain, but too many Americans are being convinced that progressive women like Abrams are a threat to democracy. They're being told that Abrams, a Black woman, powerful organizer, and voting rights advocate who isn't afraid to call out the GOP's practices is somehow going to “destroy” the country.

Republicans are scared of progress. We need to drown out their smears and ensure that women like Abrams can be elected at all levels of government -- that's why we launched our Elect Bold Women Fund with your help.

But let's be frank, John: Progressive powerhouses like Stacey Abrams are the GOP's main targets this cycle, and Republicans will do everything they can to tear them down -- just look at AOC, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris.
