John,
You have the power to help get real accountability for the deadly January 6th insurrection.
How?
Don’t buy a Toyota, don’t shop at Walmart and don’t fly with JetBlue.
Those are just some of the companies that have given thousands of dollars to support the Sedition Caucus—the 147 members of Congress who voted to reject the results of the 2020 election. Toyota stands out as a particularly egregious offender. They’ve given $55,000 to support 37 members of the Sedition Caucus, by far the highest number supported by any of the companies who’ve backed insurrectionists.
You may have noticed Toyota trending on social media in the last few days, facing backlash based on an Axios report on CREW’s new live tracker. But they shouldn’t be the only company getting backlash. PNC, Cigna, Walmart, JetBlue, HomeDepot, CVS—all these companies and more need to be held accountable for their PAC donations to support the Sedition Caucus.
Together, we can make these companies pay for their decision to prioritize their own profits over our democracy. Don’t spend your money with these companies, and spread the word to your friends and family to do the same. You can share our tracker on Facebook and Twitter, or by forwarding this email. We’ve already heard from so many people that they won’t be supporting these companies any more. We hope you’ll join them, and we hope you’ll spread the word, so that Toyota, Cigna, Walmart, HomeDepot and more hear our message loud and clear: if you’re supporting the Sedition Caucus, your bottom line is going to suffer.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
President, CREW
