Hi John,
It's the last day of Pride Month, and as always, we're prepared to wrap up celebrations in perfect Run for Something fashion: by joining with movement pals to help diverse, young progressives win power.
For Pride, we're partnering with the Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing openly LGBTQIA+ people at all levels of government,
to answer questions about running for office while out and proud.
Folks will hear firsthand from elected officials and former candidates about how their LGBTQIA+ lived experience has played a role in their campaigns and in office. We aim to create a safe space for people of all backgrounds to ask questions openly and honestly -- so bring your Qs with you!
John, if you're a LGBTQIA+ young progressive thinking about running for office, you should come hang. Sign up for tonight's (free) See Yourself Running: PRIDE event at 8:00 p.m. ET >>
This event is free!
If Americans are going to achieve equitable representation, we need
over 22,000 more LGBTQIA+ people to be elected to office.
That's no easy task, not with the myriad of conservative Republicans doing everything they can do to lock us out of power at the local, state, and federal level.
But we're not worried, not even a little. Why?
Because Run for Something and Victory Fund know what it takes to win power and how to dismantle organized hate -- and we're dedicated to helping folks like you run and win.
If you can make it, we'd love to have you with us tonight. Bring your questions, concerns, and tireless spirit to make government a more representative, equitable, and progressive space.
See you there?
