Welcoming the River Ridge Eastbank All-Stars to Washington, D.C.
On Friday, I welcomed Louisiana’s River Ridge Eastbank All-Stars to Washington, D.C. I was proud to join them during their visit to the White House to celebrate their Little League World Series Championship victory alongside President Trump. These young men are the first team from Louisiana to win the championship and they represented the United States in an inspiring way on the world stage.

Meeting with the Local Fishing Community to Discuss Disaster Assistance
Earlier this week, I met with St. Tammany Parish President Pat Brister and several local fishermen to discuss the next steps needed to mitigate the impacts on the commercial seafood and recreational fishing industries related to the openings of the Bonnet Carre Spillway in 2019. The health of our local fisheries is critical to ensuring the sustainability of Louisiana’s seafood industry, our world-class restaurants and our local communities.
