Dear John, In my earlier email about Fatima*, I mentioned that her life hasn't always been easy. When we met her a year ago, Fatima was dangerously malnourished. She was weak and listless, as malnourished children often are, and her mother was desperate for help.Our team on the ground in Somalia was able to provide the critical nutrition Fatima needed, and now we're able to work with her mother on more long-term solutions. Thanks to support from donors like you, they were able to save Fatima's life and help set her up for successful growth.  I know Fatima's story might seem bleak, but I hope you can look at it as a story of hope. I know I do! I hate that she suffered as an infant. But Fatima's growing joy is proof of her resilience, and her smile encourages me to do whatever it takes to reach another hungry child with a lifesaving intervention.
