Friend,
Democrats hold the Senate by the slimmest possible margin. The road to keeping
our majority runs right next door through New Hampshire, where my friend Maggie
Hassan is facing her first Senate reelection race -- and it's going to be a tough one.
Already, two Republican super PACs and the National Republican Senatorial Committee
are pouring money into ads attacking Maggie in her home state -- and the GOP hasn't
even named a candidate to run against her yet.
And they're probably feeling pretty good about their chances. In 2020, both chambers
of New Hampshire's state legislature flipped red -- and Maggie's seat in the Senate
could be next if we don't act now.
Today is the last chance to donate before campaigns officially report their fundraising
numbers to the FEC. Will you donate right now to Senator Hassan's reelection
campaign so we can keep the Senate blue?

In 2016, then-Governor Hassan won her Senate election by just 1,017 votes, so we
can't take anything for granted. Those 1,017 votes helped protect the Affordable Care
Act and pass the American Rescue Plan. Without these votes, or Senator Hassan
in Congress, millions of Americans would lack health care, and many more would be
struggling without adequate relief during the pandemic.
According to CNN, this Senate seat is one that's most at risk for Democrats in 2022.
I don't need to remind you how slim our majority is and how much progress we could
lose if we don't hold onto every single seat next year.
Let's make sure Senator Hassan has the resources to stand strong against Republican
attacks in New Hampshire. If you want to see more progress and less obstruction, please
chip in before tonight's crucial end-of-quarter deadline to help keep the Senate blue.
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Patrick Leahy
U.S. Senator
