This year's Amazon Prime Day had smaller average orders
Amazon Prime members turned out to shop in the first 32 hours of last week's Prime Day sales event, but average orders were smaller than in the two previous years, according to data collected by Numerator. Shoppers seemed to be spending on essentials such as cereal and diapers instead of splurging on big-ticket items.
