Friend, I first fell in love with wild places as a teenager in northeastern Oregon. That was where the seed of my career as an Earthjustice lawyer was planted, but it took its time in sprouting. Learning about Earthjustice’s work in Oregon to prevent logging some of our nation's last old-growth forests vividly illustrated the power of litigation as a tool for social progress. Wild places and wild things, I learned, are not merely to be enjoyed on summer hiking trips—they also must be defended. So I went to law school. |
Now that I am part of the legal team at Earthjustice, I am reminded every day just how big this fight really is – and how important partners like you are to our work. It’s your support that ensures that even if a case takes years, we have the resources to confront polluting industries – or even the government – in pursuit of a healthier world. So, friend, can we count on you right now? |
Our fiscal year ends today. That means what we raise by midnight tonight will help influence how many Big Oil exploits we can take down in the next year. Thankfully, we have an exciting match opportunity that will TRIPLE any gift you make by midnight. Please make your gift now so we can start tomorrow with a renewed fight for justice — for people and the planet. |
From shutting down dangerous power plants to keeping gray wolves alive, we’ve got big fights ahead. We’re not backing down, but we need your support. |
Thank you for being an Earthjustice supporter,
Tim Preso
