The Federal Housing Finance
Agency (FHFA) Tuesday announced it will prohibit foreclosure filings on loans
sold to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs)
– before the CFPB's new mortgage foreclosure rule takes effect Aug. 31.
