California’s homeless population is out of control, but Kevin Faulconer has a plan to fix it. Read more >>
Fellow Conservative,
More people are homeless in California than anywhere else in America — 161,000 and counting.
Gavin Newson has proven that he doesn’t have what it takes to make the tough choices to fix this crisis. He’s denying reality, refusing to address the real problem, and throwing taxpayer money at it and just hoping for the best.
As Mayor of San Diego, Kevin Faulconer compassionately and firmly moved people indoors. We reduced outdoor homelessness by 12 percent, and decreased tent encampments by 80 percent.
He believes that if you condone people living on the streets, you’re condemning them to die on the streets. That’s why he has a plan to get people on the streets indoors and get them the help they need to get back on their feet.
We need to base our plans in reality. We can’t ignore mental health issues and drug addiction among the homeless. We have to face these problems, and it starts by getting them off the streets and into shelters.
We need to help our homeless, and we need to allow all Californians to have their public space back. Tent cities have never been the answer, and they are not the answer now.
Kevin cleaned up tent camps in San Diego, and he’s ready to do it across the Golden State.
