Dear Colorado Republicans,

We are working to hold Jared Polis accountable, and we're not going to back down. Colorado Public Radio did an investigation demonstrating that Polis' "strike force" crumbled around him while Colorado's nursing home deaths rose to twice the national average late last year.

CDOT has also fallen apart under Polis' watch, and fraud in unemployment payouts runs rampant. Jared Polis is responsible for what his state agencies do, and he can't keep hiding or pretending his hands are clean. Just this week, he told Denver's Fox 31 that he wouldn't come on camera to answer questions.

The Colorado County Clerks Association put out a list of recommendations this week that would increase fairness and transparency in elections. As Colorado Republicans, we support more conversations around these proposals to ensure signature verification is improved and that ballot images are provided to the public at no cost. These are commonsense ideas that will restore public faith in elections.

Also, don't forget to get your tickets to these upcoming Lincoln Day Dinners, and if you attend, I'll see you there!
Have a great week -- and spread the word that Jared Polis needs to stop hiding!

Colorado’s new GOP Chair visits Grand Junction

KREX: The newly-elected chair of the Colorado GOP Kristi Burton Brown paid Grand Junction a visit today, and says she is excited for the direction the Colorado Republican Party is headed.

“We stand with our farmers and ranchers. We believe legislation that passes in Denver and Boulder shouldn’t hurt our farmers on the Eastern Plains and the Western Slope. They deserve a voice at the capitol so we’re going to elect people who are going to represent them well and who grew up building these industries on the Western Slope,” says Burton-Brown.

State Republicans want investigation into Polis and nursing home deaths

KDVR: The Colorado Republican Party is asking for an investigation into Gov. Jared Polis and his administration over COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.
...
“The CPR article that came out was absolutely damning for Governor Polis and his administration,” said Kristi Burton Brown, the state Republican Party leader. “Governor Polis is the Cuomo of the West. So many people died because they got it wrong.”
....

Among the claims in the CPR report was that Colorado had the nation’s highest rate of nursing home deaths in the country during the holiday season in 2020.

These deaths, the report argues, resulted from Polis’ administration’s mishandling.
