John -- In a moment, we're going to ask for a $5 contribution to close our $17,971 fundraising gap before the end-of-quarter deadline. But first, let us explain why we're focused on protecting and expanding our Democratic US Senate majority.

Sorry to be so blunt, but here's why it's so important:

» We're making progress supporting good Democrats, but we're eager to keep the ball rolling. We just announced offensive targets for the US Senate, and we can't let up now.

» With your help, we raised resources directly into their campaigns. We've also built up a Defend the Senate Fund to support efforts in those states on behalf of our grassroots donors early.

» If we learned anything the past few months, it's that an expanded majority in the Senate is more important than ever. Remember, if we lose just one seat -- we lose the majority completely, which means any progress we're making grinds to an immediate halt.

The good news is that we have a plan to keep fighting: 1) Raise resources to defend Mark Kelly in AZ and Raphael Warnock in GA and 2) Go on the offensive for Val Demings in FL and the Democratic candidate in WI.
