Hi,
We can win a battle for climate literacy — but we need your help.
Through July 5th, the Pennsylvania State Board of Education is receiving comments from anywhere in the U.S. on its newly proposed Science Standards. The proposed standards do not include critical environmental topics and must not be approved as is.
We need your urgent help. Will you send a letter calling on Pennsylvania to include environmental literacy topics in their new standards? <[link removed]>

No matter where you are in the country, climate and environmental literacy is and will be an essential skill to prepare students for the future green economy and evolving workforce. Without these skills, there is a strong chance that our children will be left behind.
Why does Pennsylvania matter? Pennsylvania has been a pioneer in environmental education efforts and we want to ensure that they are able to keep their stellar reputation. If we secure a win for climate and environmental literacy here, other states can use the precedent to establish their own standards.
With one small step we can start on the path to nationwide climate and environmental literacy. Please send a letter to the Pennsylvania State Board of Education and urge the state to approve science standards that will prepare our children for the future. <[link removed]>
In solidarity,
Kathleen Rogers
President
