After today’s first count of ranked choice votes, Brad continues to lead in the race for NYC Comptroller

Brad Lander for NYC Comptroller

John,

Today the NYC Board of Elections ran the first simulation of how the ranked choice votes were allocated in our race.

The bottom line: Brad holds a strong lead going into the count of absentee ballots.

Brad is up 3.4% after the initial tabulation of ranked choice ballots. The numbers released today give us a fuller picture of the in person votes, but more than 120,000 absentee ballots remain to be counted.

Our campaign included a significant outreach program to absentee ballot requesters and we look forward to every ballot being counted.

We are confident that the outstanding votes will widen our lead, and that Brad will be the next New York City Comptroller.

Absentee ballots will continue to be counted over the next few weeks. Can you help cover legal fees and support our organizing to ensure that all votes are counted?

Thanks to your support, this campaign overcame an initial double digit polling deficit to lead this race. That's pretty amazing.

Thank you for everything,

Chris Walsh

P.S. To ensure a complete and accurate count of absentee ballots, we're looking for volunteers to monitor the counting of ballots at each borough's BOE office beginning tomorrow, June 30th and continuing until it's complete.

Counting happens from approximately 10am - 7pm and there are offices in every borough. If you can spare a few hours this week or next, please sign up for a shift here.
