Every year, the Fourth of July holiday is one of the most dangerous few days on our roads across the state, especially for rural Iowans traveling on highways to visit friends and family.

This coming weekend, instead of protecting Iowa lives, Governor Reynolds is sending our state troopers to the Mexican border so she can score cheap political points.

Our state troopers are not pawns for Governor Reynolds to use in her extremist political games — they are Iowans who should be in Iowa protecting Iowans.

Ras is running for governor because Iowa clearly needs a leader who will put public safety ahead of politics. If you’re with him, can you chip in $10 or more ahead of tomorrow’s critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline?
