I am writing today to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign. I hope you’ll give me the opportunity to share why I’m asking right at this moment.

A lot of things are going to change tomorrow. We have a big deadline that expires tomorrow at midnight, which is when we will close the books on the quarter, tally up our fundraising numbers, and report them to the Federal Election Commission.

There is no way around it: If we fall short of our goal and end up with a weak report, everyone from Mitch McConnell to Wisconsin Republicans will know we’re vulnerable. This needs every single ounce of my attention right now.
