The Left's Big Lie

The Biden White House and congressional Democrats are engaged in a massive lie, attempting to "gaslight" the whole nation. They're claiming that Republicans are really the ones defunding the police. It's beyond absurd, but Big Media is echoing the claim as if it were fact.

It's one of the most bald-face lies I have ever heard. But it shows exactly what the left thinks it can get away with because it knows the media are on their "team." Clearly, we do not have a free and fair press in this country. It also shows just how stupid the left thinks the American people really are.

It all started when White House adviser Cedric Richmond ([link removed]) went on Fox News Sunday. He said that Republicans were "defunding the police" when they opposed the massive blue state budget bailout that Democrats tried to force into last year's COVID relief bill.

Richmond's remarks were so laughable, I didn't think they were worth commenting on yesterday.

But White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki ([link removed]) continued the gaslighting at her Monday press briefing. She said that Republicans "defunded the police" when they opposed the $350 billion state and local bailout included in Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion "rescue plan."

Okay. If Democrats want to have this fight, bring it on! Let's recall the history here.

The Democrat Party has been smearing law enforcement for years. It wasn't mobs of Republicans marching through the streets calling cops "pigs" and "Nazis."

The refrain of the Democrat Party is that law enforcement is infected with "systemic racism ([link removed]) ." This has resulted in mass demoralization and resignations in police departments across the country, accompanied by a massive spike in violent crime.

This whole debate started with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other extremists demanding that we defund ICE ([link removed]) . It wasn't long before she upped the ante and demanded that we "defund the police ([link removed]) ."

I don't have enough space to list all the Democrat-run cities from New York City ([link removed]) to Los Angeles ([link removed]) , Minneapolis ([link removed]) to Seattle ([link removed]) , Austin ([link removed]) to Oakland ([link removed]) , that proudly slashed the budgets of their police departments. They were responding to AOC and the progressive wing of the Democrat Party, or the "Progs" as I call them. Nothing they want is "progress."

It's Democrat mayors and city councils who are handcuffing the police. It's Democrat prosecutors who refuse to charge criminals. It's Democrat politicians who have declared their communities "sanctuary cities" so law enforcement can't expel criminal illegal aliens.

One final point: It's a safe bet that the police know who's on their side and who isn't. Joe Biden said he "absolutely ([link removed]) " supported massive cuts to police budgets. Not surprisingly, the police unions endorsed Donald Trump ([link removed]) in 2020.



Criminal Sanctuaries

As you know, the left and the media have been in high dudgeon lately about a spike in hate crimes against Asian Americans. Ironically, this comes as the left is trying to deny Asian Americans certain educational opportunities. (Here ([link removed]) and here ([link removed]) .) In spite of the left's feeble narrative, the spike in anti-Asian hate crimes has nothing to do with Donald Trump or "white rage."

The latest example comes from the city of San Francisco ([link removed]) , America's best known "sanctuary city." Earlier this year, Carlos Claros attempted to rob an Asian family visiting from Wisconsin. He pulled a gun, spit at them, and said, "Ugh, you Asians."

I'm sure it won't surprise you to learn that Claros has an extensive arrest record. In fact, the Trump Administration issued detainers for Claros four times so they could deport him. But four times the sanctuary city of San Francisco refused to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

So, because of left-wing policies implemented in the name of diversity, this thug was free to commit a hate crime against an Asian American family.

Unfortunately, the problem isn't just San Francisco. The Biden Administration has turned the entire country into a "sanctuary nation ([link removed]) ," guaranteeing that what happened in San Francisco will be happening in your city.

By the way, just as the link between illegal immigration and crime is obvious, it's no coincidence that Democrats are pushing open borders and a ban on voter ID laws at the same time.



Defund The Deep State

I'm a proud law-and-order conservative, and very supportive of the men and women in uniform who protect us on the frontlines and those behind the scenes in our intelligence agencies. But if there is any agency that needs to be seriously reformed, if not defunded, it's any Deep State agency that is abusing its power for political purposes.

Last night, Tucker Carlson ([link removed]) said that a whistleblower from the National Security Agency told him that the NSA is monitoring Carlson's communications and those of his staff. Naturally, Carlson was suspicious.

But the whistleblower provided details of a story Carlson's staff is working on, details that Tucker said "could have only come directly from my texts and emails. There's no other possible source of that information."

It's deeply disturbing, but not hard to believe. Just consider what we already know:
* We know our intelligence agencies were used by the left to spy on the Trump campaign ([link removed]) .
* Sen. Rand Paul ([link removed]) has alleged that he and other leading Republicans were spied on.
* We know that the Obama Administration spied on pro-Israel groups ([link removed]) and members of Congress.
* We know that former CIA Director John Brennan ([link removed]) had to apologize for spying on the Senate Intelligence Committee.
* We know someone hacked investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson's ([link removed]) computers.

This is totalitarianism. When the intelligence agencies responsible for protecting the American people from foreign enemies become tools of the government to monitor and harass domestic political opponents, we're fast going down the road of Nazi Germany, the old Soviet Union and today's communist China.



Biden & Berry

During the White House press briefing yesterday, Jen Psaki was asked about the controversy surrounding Olympic athlete Gwen Berry ([link removed]) . She said that President Biden supports the right of peaceful protest and believes "there are moments where we as a country haven't lived up to our highest ideals."

In other words, Joe Biden is perfectly fine with members of the U.S. Olympic team using their platform on foreign soil to disrespect the United States and our most cherished customs. And this is the guy who is supposed to unite us?!

Sen. Tom Cotton said that if Berry is going to wear the uniform of the U.S. team and represent us overseas, then she needs to respect our flag and national anthem or be removed from the team now!



About That Deal. . .

We told you Friday how Joe Biden sabotaged a bipartisan agreement on infrastructure. The White House spent the weekend trying to salvage the deal, eventually releasing a lengthy explanation ([link removed]) attempting to walk back Biden's veto threat of a deal he supposedly wanted.

Incredibly, some Republicans are still willing to go along with this charade. Senator Mitt Romney ([link removed]) said he trusts Joe Biden and "takes the president at his word."

But one person isn't budging at all -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi ([link removed]) . She's still demanding that Democrats get everything they want.

Sen. Thom Tillis ([link removed]) said he was "profoundly disappointed" that Nancy Pelosi was holding the infrastructure bill hostage to other demands. Really?

What did he think she was going to do? Pelosi held up COVID relief for months ([link removed]) last year for political gain while small businesses went bankrupt.

I am so sick and tired of presumably intelligent GOP RINOs who are continually "surprised" and "disappointed" when the political left does what it always does!

Senators Cassidy (R-LA), Collins (R-ME), Murkowski (R-AK) and Portman (R-OH), were you all born yesterday?! Wake up!
