Hi John,

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez condemned the GOP moments after Republican senators used the Jim Crow filibuster to block the For the People Act: “Call me radical, but I do not believe a minority of Senators should be able to block voting rights for millions of people.”

AOC is exactly the kind of leader we need fighting for democracy in Washington -- but as a powerful progressive woman with a nationwide network of allies, she's also the GOP's primary target.

Republicans are doing everything they can to undermine AOC. Earlier this year, Marjorie Taylor Greene followed AOC around the Capitol, screaming at her for supporting “terrorist” groups. An army of Republican legislators have accused her of fabricating her trauma on January 6. Now, GOP men on Fox News are telling her, a seasoned lawmaker, that she “doesn't understand the U.S. Senate” if she opposes the filibuster.

But that's not the worst part, John. Republicans spent over $10 million to unseat AOC in 2020. They're coming in harder this cycle, and the attacks are starting early.

Now more than ever, our country needs leaders dedicated to upholding our democracy. We need progressive women like AOC who know that every American deserves representation.

That's why we launched our Elect Bold Women Fund, to support progressive powerhouses who can meet the challenges our country is facing and rise above the GOP's dirty tactics. But these are exactly the kind of candidates the GOP is working to tear down -- just look at Stacey Abrams, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris.

While Republicans are counting on voter suppression bills, corporate millions, and racist supporters to win in 2022, we're counting on a powerful grassroots network led by people like you. We ran the numbers, and we're coming up $2,306 short of where we need to be to keep this campaign running into July. Every dollar makes a difference for organizations like ours, so we need to ask: Can you chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can today to keep this initiative going? >> [link removed]
