Hi John, Jesse here with a quick end-of-quarter fundraising update.

Tomorrow is the end of Q2 — which means we'll have to close the books on
another fundraising quarter and submit our numbers to the Federal Election
Commission. Here's where we currently stand:

— $6,176, to be exact. We're rushing to raise $52,500 over emails just
like this one by the end of tomorrow, but the clock is ticking.

need this to be our best fundraising email yet in order to reach our goal,
post strong numbers to the FEC, and show the world the strength of our
progressive movement. Will you please give our campaign the big,
grassroots push it needs and chip in $3 right now?

Filing strong quarterly fundraising numbers is just another way we can
demonstrate how successful Jamaal's term in Congress has been thus far.

We have an opportunity to show everyone how powerful a
grassroots-supported lawmaker can truly be — especially as we're up
against the entrenched status quo and political establishment who work
overtime to silence our progressive message.

Our opponents will make assumptions about the strength of our campaign and
movement on our fundraising. If they see that Jamaal isn't receiving as
much support as they originally thought, they're bound to pour even more
money into attacking and undermining Jamaal and our movement.

That's why we need to have Jamaal's back and ensure our fundraising is
stronger than ever this quarter. And because our progressive movement is
sustained by individual supporters like you, we're going to need all the
support we can get to make sure our fundraising can keep pace with our
plans for the future.
