Our pal Bernie Goldberg expanded on his conversation with me a few weeks back by writing that the reason he left “Real Sports” was over something Bryant Gumbel once said. Apparently on the HBO program Mr. Gumbel insisted that “racism is everywhere.”   Bernie doesn’t believe that and had a pithy retort on his website: “racism can’t be everywhere because it’s not in my house.”
