Last week I shared the exciting news that we successfully defended the Affordable Care Act at the U.S. Supreme Court, fending off the legal threat led by indicted Texas AG Ken Paxton and Donald Trump. We ensured that 825,000 Washingtonians, including those with preexisting conditions, will maintain their access to health care and Medicare recipients will not see increases to their prescription drug costs.

Major victories like this mean more dishonest attacks from conservative special interests and partisan extremists who are intent on halting our progress.

Earlier this month, right-wing radio host Todd Herman, host of the Rush Limbaugh Show, accused me of “inserting racism into our schools” and trying to “collapse the Washington state economy.”

Wild, right? We know these accusations are absurd — but many listeners believe them. Trust me — I get their angry messages.

These disparaging attacks from radical right-wing leaders like Herman will ramp up after our big win at the Supreme Court.
