I know we’ve emailed you quite a bit about tomorrow’s FEC fundraising deadline asking you to contribute to our campaign. So before I ask again, I want to take a moment to share why these emails are so important to our success.

I believe we have to try something new in North Carolina. That’s part of why I decided to run for Senate. We’ve tried the same playbook with the same type of candidates before.

Instead, we are running a people-focused campaign that speaks to the hopes and needs of every North Carolinian — particularly those who have been left behind and ignored by Washington.

We’re leading in the public polling. The outpouring of support for this campaign has been overwhelming.

But Republicans will see that this is working too, and they will spend millions trying to attack and smear us. That means it’s up to us to raise the resources necessary to fight back and win.

What may surprise you though is that the number one source of donations for our campaign is actually emails like this one. The response to emails like this one is critical to our success, so that’s why I am asking:

Can you make a $3 donation to our campaign before tomorrow’s deadline? Every donation puts us one step closer to flipping this seat and making real progress for working people.

When everyone chips in what they can, it adds up in powerful ways. That’s how we can compete with the massive amounts of special interest money that Republicans will spend to hold this seat.
