This fundraising deadline really matters, Friends. Let me explain.

(But would I really be a Finance Director if I didn’t ask you to chip in $5 first?)

Tim has been making headlines by taking a stand for critical legislation like the Jan. 6 commission, the PRO Act, and the For the People Act. Now, a lot more people are paying attention to our momentum in this race -- including national Republican dark money groups.

Reporters, opponents, pundits, election forecasters, and potential endorsers are all waiting for our FEC report with bated breath. It’s the clearest indication of whether we have what it takes to flip Ohio’s open Senate seat blue.

If we hit our goal, we’ll be on track to make the crucial early investments that can change the course of a race. If not, we’ll have to slow down our organizing program -- and that’s a bad sign for any campaign, especially one with such high stakes. This is our best chance to expand our Democratic Senate Majority and pass the legislation we urgently need.

Our next FEC deadline isn’t until September 30. The report we publish this week will be the only reference point for this race until then. We cannot drop the ball.

I’m looking at our projections, and if 150 more folks step up today, we’ll be ahead of our target. Can I count on you to chip in $5 or any amount right now?
