In recent weeks, as our Liberal government worked to keep Canadians safe and supported, we’ve seen Erin O’Toole’s Conservatives do everything they could to block progressive legislation to deliver help for families, workers, small businesses, and the most vulnerable.
There’s a lot at stake, friend.
And our work together to keep Canada moving forward can’t slow down for a moment.
In recent weeks, as our Liberal government worked to keep Canadians safe and supported, we’ve seen Erin O’Toole’s Conservatives do everything they could to block progressive legislation to deliver help for families, workers, small businesses, and the most vulnerable.
Just last week, Justin Trudeau and our Liberal MPs led the way to pass crucial legislation that bans the harmful practice of anti-LGBTQ2 conversion therapy. Like so many of us, I thought about every advocate who has fought so hard to make this change possible – and about how disappointing it was to see the majority of Erin O’Toole’s Conservative caucus vote against it in 2021.
It was another reminder of how much your support can make a decisive difference, friend, and that’s true in so many of the ways that we’re working together to build a better future.
This coming month, Canadian parents will receive another increase to the Canada Child Benefit to help make life more affordable. We’re accelerating our fight against climate change, and to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. We’re moving forward to create a Canada-wide early-learning and child care system, investing to create good new jobs, and advancing progressive legislation that will help ensure everyone has a real and fair chance at success.
Right now, we are quickly closing in on our end-of-Q2 online fundraising deadline, friend. It’s going to take thousands of supporters across the country chipping in to meet our $350,000 goal and ensure we can continue making real progress possible.
4,111 Canadians have already chipped in this month to help our teams across Canada always stay ready to keep Canada moving forward.
If you’re able, chip in now to support our progress – and then also share your Best Idea for a Better Canada and enter to win a virtual hangout with Justin Trudeau and four of your friends.
