This month we celebrate Immigration Month and Pride Month as well as Juneteenth, which was signed into law as a Federal holiday! Although we're about to close out this month, let us continuously hold ourselves and one another accountable in continuing to create an education ecosystem where all of our young people are provided access and opportunities for the kind of quality and critical learning that helps them succeed, feel safe, cared for, and valued.
Juneteenth is now a federal holiday but Black people are still not liberated and anti-Blackness continues to plague our education ecosystem. Read Kwame Sarfo-Mensah's, founder of Identity Talk Consulting, LLC., reminder on what true liberation means for us all.
As we celebrate Pride Month, we want to re-highlight the good work of our grantees at Outright Vermont as they are "building a Vermont where all LGBTQ+ youth have hope, equity, and power."
