I wanted to send a quick note about next week’s major Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing deadline.

After June 30, we’ll lay our cards on the table and publish our fundraising totals for the world to see. National Republicans, dark money groups, and the Republican supermajority here in the KS legislature will all be scrutinizing that report to gauge our grassroots strength.

In order to prove that our grassroots supporters are still standing strong, we need to raise another $10,378. Can you pitch in $20 toward that goal? [[link removed]]

When I first ran for Congress in 2018, we relied heavily on our grassroots supporters and volunteers to take on an entrenched GOP opponent who was breaking Kansas fundraising records and had held the seat for 8 years.

Now, with national Republicans naming us a “top target” for 2022 and rallying support behind our former 2020 opponent — all while the Kansas GOP works to gerrymander us into a tougher reelection fight — all eyes are fixed on our campaign to see if that grassroots army is still intact.

The June 30 FEC deadline is our opportunity to prove that we won’t back down from those tough fights.

Chip in before midnight on Wednesday to join us:
