Monday Nature Mystery
We are pleased to announce the winner of last week's Monday Nature Mystery, Melanie Natoli! Please email us your snail mail address and preference for a hat or tote bag to: [email protected]
Congratulations to Melanie for correctly identifying Buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis) as our Monday Nature Mystery. This semi-aquatic plant is tough! It can be found along streams and riverbanks as well as in standing water. It is deciduous and when blooming, it’s a magnet for pollinators.
