Hi John, as Co-Chair of the CT Dems LGBTQ Caucus, I’m so proud that Connecticut is one of the most LGBTQ-friendly states in the country.

Earlier this month, state legislators codified equal treatment under the law to children born to same-sex couples — we need to ensure that we continue making progress like this, and that starts with protecting our Democratic majorities.

One of my proudest achievements so far this year is the inclusion of my plan to cut child poverty in half in the Biden Administration’s American Rescue Plan, which means that starting next month, nearly all American families with children will automatically begin receiving monthly payments of $250 to $300 per child.

While I’m fighting to ensure that this expanded child tax credit is permanent, CT Dems are playing a pivotal role in making sure progress like this continues.
