We've even had an extra set of paws to help us with our work. Thanks, Marnie!
Dear John,

It is very important for undocumented youth to learn about their potential immigration remedies as early as possible. I should know: I benefited from an immigration legal screening when I was 17 years old, and because of that screening my family and I were eventually able to adjust our status.

Since eligibility for certain immigration remedies like Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) are tied to age requirements, early outreach is vital.

This year, I have the privilege of coordinating Immigrants Rising’s emergency relief program for undocumented high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are providing $500 in cash assistance and immigration legal screenings to more than 120 undocumented high school students in San Francisco and Alameda County. Students are able to utilize our Immigration Legal Intake Service (ILIS), a free, anonymous, and confidential service which has screened over 4,500 individuals for immigration remedies since its launch in 2009.

We cannot do this without community support. Donate today to help us reach even more students. ([link removed])

Being able to work directly with undocumented high school students and helping them know about their immigration cases over the past 8 years has been very rewarding. I am able to experience the high level of care educators bring to the work they do every day, and the immense courage of undocumented youth searching for the American Dream.

This groundbreaking work is made possible through the generous support of the Stupski Foundation, our Bay Area high school partners, and of course, our community. Your support keeps our work going. Can you chip in $5 to help us continue our community outreach? ([link removed])
