It gives me no joy to say this, but D.C. Republicans would rather stand in unified opposition than work across the aisle to help their constituents and their communities.

That’s why not a single Republican member of either the House or the Senate voted for the American Rescue Plan. Still, though, we know they’re out in their districts touting all the benefits of this historic legislation.

You see, friend, with Mitch McConnell calling the shots, I fear that all we’ll see from the GOP is a hyper-focus on obstruction, and there’s just too much at stake to risk the House flipping red in 2022.
