Urgent diagnosis! She needs cancer care now. We’ve established a new fund for Lotus. Will you please help?

Friend, Lotus must have thought people were pretty cruel. Can you blame her?

First, she was tied to a stake and used as bait for hunting dogs. She was just a baby piglet. The dogs bit her and bit her – leaving wounds on her face, ear, and back.

But then she was “rescued”—but that person wanted to turn her into bacon!

Thank goodness for people like YOU. She was rescued and has been here for the past five years. But this week, we got a scary diagnosis. We found a growth on her ear, and it was the worst news we could imagine:

Lotus has cancer.

We couldn’t skip one minute before attacking the problem, including surgery to remove this fast-growing and fast-spreading tumor. But now the bills are starting to come in!

We’ve established a new Lotus Fund to help pay for her care. PLEASE MAKE YOUR GIFT NOW.

I don’t blame the dogs who attached her when she was a baby. They didn’t know any better. But they hurt Lotus terribly.

This is why her left ear looks different than her right. Her left ear is scarred and won’t stand up straight.

That’s also the ear where we detected the tumor. She has an aggressive form of cancer that attacks soft tissue. It’s not skin cancer, as we were expecting. This cancer can spread into her organs and there’ll be nothing left we can do. That’s just unacceptable!

We’ve already spent more than we planned – every minute at the hospital equals $$$. And we’re definitely going to spend more for her ongoing care. Plus, there is a significant risk that this could return.

So we’ve created the Lotus Fund. It’s a wonderful way for YOU to help provide critical care to for this sweet pig, who has already been through so much pain.

Providing cancer care to animals is very expensive. But it works! Brando has recently been given the all-clear after his chemotherapy treatment earlier this year!

That’s what we want for Lotus. But we must raise money urgently. In fact, we need to raise $10,000 before midnight on June 30 to provide for her and get us in the black before the critical end of the quarter deadline. Please help.

First, Lotus was almost killed.

Then she was almost eaten.

Now she’s with us—and her best chance for survival comes from caring friends like YOU.

Yours for Animals,

Susan Hartland
