If you are familiar with any of the holidays in the Bible, you might know that Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) ended yesterday and Sukkot (Festival of Tabernacles) begins on Sunday evening. While we, as Christians, aren’t obligated to celebrate the holidays of ancient Israel, they still offer an insight into the wonderful works that God has done throughout history. They also point to the work that Christ Jesus did, is doing, and will do. Perhaps it’s worth taking a moment on these days to reflect and thank God for His work in our lives. Check out Denise’s blog post for more thoughts on this. |
