Hi,

Are you still looking for a career that amplifies the power of young people?

Apply to become a campus organizer with The Student PIRGs by our June Application Deadline on 6/30!

There is no better time to apply. Next week marks the 50th Anniversary of the ratification of the 26th Amendment—the amendment that guaranteed 18-year-olds the right to vote!

To celebrate this landmark anniversary The Student PIRGs have joined our coalition partners across the country to uplift the youth vote this summer by spreading the word on social media, launching a website with materials, and working with local governments to issue official citywide Proclamations celebrating the youth vote!

However, we recognize that barriers still exist for young people, and particularly college students, and that has prevented us from fulfilling the full promise of the 26th Amendment. Thats why we are still hiring campus organizers to work with students across the country to register and turnout to local elections this year.

Read our job description and apply by our June Application Deadline on 6/30.

Besides applying to join our team of campus organizers, Here are some things you can do to celebrate this landmark youth vote Anniversary:

  • Celebrate your right to vote with us and our friends at NAACP, Andrew Goodman Foundation, and CIRCLE during a webinar discussion on the history and the future of the youth vote on Tuesday June 29th at 5pm ET. RSVP here.
  • Join us & other civic champions for a #26thAmendment Twitter Chat Thursday, July 1st at 2pm ET.  Follow along for a conversation on how - on the ✨50th✨ Anniversary - we can continue to fulfill the promise of the #26thAmendment!  RSVP here.
  • Check out the awesome #26thAmendment Website from our friends at The Student Learn Student Vote Coalition. Learn more about the history of the #YouthVote, gain resources, and share your story! Visit: https://slsvcoalition.org/26th-amendment/
  • Engage with us on social media! Each week, partner organizations have been sharing stories of how students are fulfilling the promise of the 26th Amendment and expanding voting access on their campus. Check out some stories here or search for #26ForThe26th on Twitter!!

Young people around the country, on college campuses and in communities throughout the US, are doing extraordinary work to lead movements of democratic participation and civic engagement. Our work is helping transform our democracy for the better but we need more full time organizers to make it happen.

Apply now by 6/30 to be considered for a spot on our team.

We are committed to fulfilling the promise of the 26th Amendment by supporting the youth vote in 2021 and beyond- will you join us?

Look forward to seeing your application,
