Broadband is a 21st century basic human right.
The New York Times: Rural areas are looking for workers. They need broadband to get them. Fight for universal, high-speed broadband everywhere. Donate to the Six PAC’s work electing progressive candidates.

35% of rural America lacks access to reliable, high speed broadband.

President Biden’s American Jobs Plan means bringing jobs to many of these rural areas to fix physical infrastructure such as bridges and highways across the country.

Weiler, a manufacturer of asphalt paving equipment in rural Marion County, Iowa, is a perfect example of a beneficiary of increased spending on infrastructure.

The problem is, with spotty-at-best internet, job recruitment in rural areas like Marion County proves extremely challenging.

“How do you get young people to want to move back into these rural areas when they feel like they’re moving back into a time frame of 20 years ago?” asked Weiler’s founder and chief executive.

Unreliable or unavailable broadband access means rural areas could be left out of the economy’s future.

The Six PAC is electing progressive candidates in rural areas who will fight for high speed, reliable broadband for all, focusing first on underrepresented and underserved communities. Can you donate today?

Thanks for your support.
