While it is essential that we wait for every vote to be counted and reallocated, the early results show some big victories in local, boroughwide, and citywide races.

When Nydia first ran for Congress, people said she couldn’t do it. But, she proved them wrong, and now she’s helping others follow in her footsteps. She’s lifting up young, talented leaders, especially people who -- like her -- know firsthand the challenges facing their community.

That’s what we saw this week.
