Join us and the 2020-2021 WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities finalists to explore five stellar examples of transformative change in action.
You will get to know each of our finalists through the eyes of the Prize for Cities Jury, as well as in their own words. Selected from a pool of 262 submissions from 54 countries, one grand prize winner will receive $250,000 and each runner-up will receive $25,000.
Chosen for their outstanding impact addressing climate change and urban inequality, the 2020-2021 finalists are:
- DistritoTec, by Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico
- Kibera Public Space Project, by Kounkuey Design Initiative, Nairobi, Kenya
- London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone, by the Greater London Authority, London, United Kingdom
- Sustainable Food Production for a Resilient Rosario, by the Municipality of Rosario, Rosario, Argentina
- Women’s Action Toward Climate Resilience for the Urban Poor, by the Mahila Housing SEWA Trust, Ahmedabad, India
This interactive event will spotlight the finalists' unique journeys and feature our independent jury of urban leaders and visionaries.
As urban leaders look for new solutions, these projects show what’s possible when cities, communities, NGOs, universities and businesses work together to create solutions for people and the planet.
Join us to celebrate and explore these transformative projects.
