Protect Companion Animals From Being Stolen & Sold to Research

U.S. Residents: Protect Companion Animals From Being Stolen & Sold to Research

Take Action Now to Support the Pet Safety & Protection Act

Dear John,

Last Chance for Animals (LCA) is encouraging supporters to contact their U.S. Representative to cosponsor H.R.3187, the Pet Safety Protection Act (PSPA), in the current Congressional session.

Right now, USDA licensed Class B dealers are able to sell random-source dogs and cats to research facilities. Multiple LCA undercover investigations have revealed these animals are often lost and stolen family pets, or animals obtained under false pretenses from "Free to Good Home" ads.

Passing the PSPA would permanently stop Class B dealers from selling dogs and cats to research facilities. Take action now to help pass the PSPA!

The PSPA has been introduced into previous Congressional sessions, but to date has failed to pass into law. LCA needs your help to raise awareness and gather support for this important legislation!

Here are 3 ways you can help:

1. Email your Representative. Take action here.

2. Tweet your Representative urging them to cosponsor the PSPA.

3. Forward this email and Share on social media.

Thank you for taking action!

For the animals,

LCA Campaigns Dept.
