This is not going to be one of those emails where I compare our FEC fundraising deadline this week to an actual crisis.
So here’s my honest ask that you make a donation of $25 or more to help my campaign raise the remaining $7,530 we need to reach our FEC end-of-quarter fundraising goal, hyperbole free.

Our campaign may not be facing an actual crisis -- but you know as well as I do that our country is staring down more than one of them.
A constitutional crisis where Republicans aren’t just refusing to honor the oaths they swore as elected officials -- but are actively working to dismantle the values, norms, and institutions our country was founded upon.
A climate crisis that poses an existential threat to humanity as a whole -- that we are fighting with two hands tied behind our backs in the name of “bipartisanship” as our window to act closes fast.
A crisis of conscience where millions of Americans are struggling to hold onto their health care, save up for retirement, make ends meet, and pay off their student loans under the added burden of an ongoing global pandemic.
A crisis of freedoms and democracy in peril as Republican lawmakers attack the right to vote and roll back rights and protections for marginalized groups.
Keeping me in Congress is not the end-all-be-all. But I am a top target for national Republicans in 2022, and if they succeed in flipping this seat they will have one more vote to advance their dangerous agenda.
So today, will you make a donation to my FEC fundraising goal before the deadline hits so that we can protect the progress our Democratic House majority has made and keep fighting to move our country forward?
