Friend,

It's a strange time to be a member of Congress. Just look at what Republicans are voting against:

🛑 More than half of House Republicans (121 out of 211) voted against certifying Joe Biden's election win.

🛑 21 House Republicans voted against giving congressional medals to the police officers who protected the Capitol on January 6th.

🛑 14 House Republicans voted against making Juneteenth, the day that the last enslaved Black Americans learned they were free, a federal holiday.

🛑 Every Republican in the House and Senate voted against the For the People Act, a set of popular, commonsense laws to reduce the influence of dark money in our elections and expand access to the ballot box.

We can't let these radical Republicans get a further foothold in Congress. But the NRCC is betting big on them, putting money behind Republicans who voted against certifying the election and naming Dean a top target to unseat in the midterms.

As our official end-of-quarter fundraising deadline approaches, we need all hands on deck. Will you chip in $5 or another amount right now so we can show the GOP and everyone else who's watching that we're sticking with Dean?

It's easy to grow disillusioned with the state of our politics, especially when we see the lengths some Republicans will go to in their attempt to stop progress and justice.

Dean is a different kind of congressmember, and we're building a different kind of campaign -- one where everyone's invited, regardless of political stripe. We know that optimism is stronger than fear, and that if we bring people out of their corners and get them talking, America can still be a shining example of democracy at its best.

But here's the thing: The NRCC knows that Dean is bringing people together to get things done. Dean just won the Jefferson-Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship for the second straight year. His message of optimism is slowly, steadily changing the culture on the Hill -- and the NRCC's corporate donors don't like it one bit.

The NRCC and corporate dark money groups are going to spend big to try to make this Dean's last term in Congress. We can't let it happen. Will you make a contribution right now to help us finish the quarter strong?

Your contribution won't just show the GOP and political pundits that we've got Dean's back -- it will also help us hold more campaign events this summer where we can get to know our neighbors and talk through the issues that matter most right now. Thanks for whatever you can contribute!
