Are you? Good. Because in the last election, Justin Trudeau won with just a fraction of the popular vote while almost 40 percent of Canadians stayed home. And I’ll bet anything that the oil executives, billionaires and corporate lobbyists weren’t the ones who sat out. It was the people whose futures are on the line. Billionaires have a vested interest in swaying this election to keep corporate influence in the Prime Minister’s Office. But we have an interest too: It’s our future. It’s us and people like us who need to go vote. We need to get everyone—students and mothers, teachers and workers, activists and artists—to the polls. |
