John, earlier this month, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod announced she passed a whopping 37 bills during the 2021 legislative session. Rep. Herod, the first Black out LGBTQ elected official in Colorado history, led the charge to pass criminal justice reforms, create greater health equity, ensure COVID-19 relief reached Coloradans and so much more.
Rep. Herod’s work to further equality is exemplary. We’re so proud to count her among our Candidate & Campaign Training alumni. And right now, we’re working to raise $15,000 to fund our domestic training programs. Will you donate before Wednesday to help us reach this ambitious goal and train more out leaders like Rep. Herod?
Here at Victory Institute, we believe that representation IS power. And holding power means you can pass 37 pieces of legislation that are signed into law by another one of our campaign training alumni, Colorado Governor Jared Polis. It means ensuring the bigots who vote against pro-equality legislation and voting rights are held accountable, as Pennsylvania state Representatives and alumni Malcolm Kenyatta and Brian Sims constantly do. It means fighting to pass anti-discrimination legislation, as Ohio state Senator Nickie Antonio does. It means defeating the author of a bathroom bill and inspiring trans youth, like Virginia Delegate Danica Roem does. It means leading your city’s COVID-19 response, saving countless lives, and receiving national attention for your hard work, as alumni Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia did last year.
Our training alumni don’t just win their races – they lead while in office. And with your help, we can train more out leaders to win essential races in 2021, 2022 and beyond. Help Victory Institute reach our $15,000 Give Out Day Goal by making a generous donation ASAP. We can’t train great leaders without you.
Thanks for standing with us,
