This is ugly -- two of the extremist candidates running for the open Ohio Senate seat are trying to out-Trump each other:

JOSH MANDEL , Sherrod’s former opponent, called for an investigation into the 2020 election results across the country despite the countless evidence that Joe Biden won. And Mandel’s campaign released a poll showing that he’s currently leading the GOP primary for the Ohio Senate race.

JANE TIMKEN , the former head of the Ohio GOP, said she thinks the January 6th attack at the Capitol was “blown out of proportion” and called the insurrectionists who stormed the building “good, patriotic Americans.” And ahead of Trump’s rally in Ohio this past weekend, Timken ran an ad welcoming Trump back to Ohio.
