Hey John xxxxxx, I’m reaching out today to ask for your support.

You see, this Wednesday is the June FEC fundraising deadline — and my team tells me we are not on track to reach our goal of raising $25,000 in grassroots contributions before the deadline passes.

Here’s why reaching this goal is so important:

Every three months, candidates for federal office have to report their fundraising to the Federal Election Commission.

It’s a way of creating transparency in our elections. And it’s also an important test of our team’s strength. The FEC report will show both the amount of money we have raised and the number of people who have made contributions to support our work.

Demonstrating strength in this report is important. It shows that there is a dedicated movement of people ready to make progress on the issues that matter most and stop our government from falling into the hands of right-wing extremists.

That’s why I’m asking, will you consider pitching in $5 or $10 before this week’s FEC deadline to help reach our fundraising goal? Anything you are able to contribute will make a difference >>

Thank you for all that you do to fight for change and make our country a better place for everyone.

Keep the faith,

Hakeem
