I can tell you from personal experience, John: Senate races here in Nevada are incredibly tough. My race was close in 2018 – and my friend Catherine's race was even closer, just two points in 2016.

And right now, CNN is calling Catherine one of the most vulnerable Senators in the country. Nevada's Senate seat is up for grabs – and the GOP and outside groups have already poured nearly $1 million into ads to defeat Catherine. We're still 16 months from Election Day, John. 

This means McConnell and his special interest allies are going all in to defeat Catherine. And losing in Nevada could mean losing the Senate. Can you pitch in $5 now to win in Nevada and defend our Senate majority? Mitch McConnell only needs one seat to flip the Senate, and we cannot let that seat be Nevada.

That near-$1 million spent is a drop in the bucket compared to the $50 million spent to defeat Catherine in 2016. With Nevada races decided on the margins and Senate control on the line, we can expect millions more to pour in.

We can't afford to let Catherine lose any ground, John, which means not missing this end-of-quarter goal. She is a crucial voice for Nevada's working families, and she worked so hard to help Democrats take back the Senate last year as chair of the Senate Democrats' campaign arm. We need to help her, right now, when she needs it most: She's falling short of her end-of-quarter goal, and it could be the most important of her campaign. 

I know from my tight 2018 race that grassroots donations make the difference between winning and losing in Nevada. So now, with Senate control likely hinging on Catherine's race, I'm asking you to help defend Nevada's seat and our majority:
