It looks like Florida Republicans forgot one thing when they suggested that Governor Ron DeSantis' challenger, Nikki Fried, is “anti-semitic” and won't stand up to Nancy Pelosi: Fried is Jewish.

This isn't anything new. The GOP has made performative activism a habit -- taking turns using minority communities to “hold Democrats accountable.” And we're not surprised they're using this dirty tactic in Florida this cycle, because they have a lot to lose.

According to POLITICO, the gubernatorial race between Governor Ron DeSantis and Nikki Fried “will be one of the most high profile gubernatorial contests in the nation next year.” Why? While DeSantis has been flying under the radar for most Democrats, he's passed restrictive laws to suppress the vote in one of the largest battleground states in the country.

But we have a chance to flip Florida blue this cycle -- and we need your help to seize this opportunity, because it'll decide whether democracy survives in the largest swing state after 2022.
