Friend,
I was honored this week to be endorsed by both the Manchester Police Patrolman's Association and the Manchester Association of Police Supervisors endorsed in my run for re-election. In my first term, I've worked hard with Chief Capano and the police department to continue delivering results that make Manchester safer and healthier, including through securing funds to hire an additional 15 police officers. Our police officer do so much for our community and as I ran in the Footrace for the Fallen this week I was reminded of the sacrifices they make to protect every resident and visitor in Manchester. Crime has decreased by 6% in 2019, but we know there is still more work to do, and in a second term, I'll continue working with our law enforcement officials to ensure Manchester remains a safe and healthy place to live, work, and raise a family.
Thank you for your continued support!
Best,
Joyce

The best way to spend a beautiful weekend is walking around Manchester and talking with residents about the work we're doing in City Hall!
Last weekend, I canvassed in wards 11 & 1, and I'm ready to get back out there again this weekend.
Thanks to everyone who came out last weekend to knock doors with us, and some of our awesome School Board and Aldermanic candidates! Thanks to our special guest Doug Emhoff for joining us and firing up this great group of supporters on Sunday.

I learned a lot about Pangolins— one of the most endangered mammals— from Kay (a very impressive 3rd grader) at the Unitarian Universalist Church's sustainability fair on Saturday. This great event has a lot of easy ways we can all play our part in saving our planet.

I had a great time running the Footrace for the Fallen Sunday morning with Manchester Police Athletic League - MPAL and Manchester Police Department.
Every year, the Footrace for the Fallen remembers the officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Thank you to everyone who showed up in support of the men and women who keep our city safe.

The new playground at Derryfield Park is officially open.
Thank you to all of the staff at Manchester, NH Parks & Rec for all their work on this project. I had a great time cutting the ribbon on our newest playground on Tuesday -- and loved meeting Rosie, who already broke in some of the new equipment with her dad!

Prioritizing Public Safety and Building a Stronger Manchester
By Mayor Joyce Craig
Ensuring the safety of Manchester residents and visitors is my number one priority. If people don’t feel safe living and working in our community, Manchester will never reach its full potential. And that’s why since day one, I’ve worked closely with our city department heads and community partners to continue building a safer, healthier, and stronger Manchester. I’ll continue working with Chief Capano to give the Manchester Police Department the resources they need to keep the Queen City a great place to live, work, and raise a family — but we also need to look at the root causes of the challenges Manchester faces and invest in opportunities to help vulnerable communities. Both Manchester police unions endorse Joyce Craig for mayor
Both of the Queen City’s police unions — the Manchester Police Patrolman’s Association (MPPA) and the Manchester Association of Police Supervisors (MAPS) — are announcing Tuesday that they are endorsing Joyce Craig’s campaign for reelection as mayor of Manchester.
Both groups cite Craig’s efforts to bring an added police presence to the downtown area and across the city. They cite her work with Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano and city aldermen to hire 15 additional police officers. [Read More] [[link removed]]
