John, June 30 is going to be an important test for Katie and our movement. Here’s why:
After the June 30 FEC deadline, our campaign will file a public report detailing how much we’ve fundraised so far this year. And John, you know who is very eager to see our report? The GOP and their corporate donors.
At the beginning of this year, the GOP announced they’re going to target Katie’s seat because she represents a vulnerable district. So they’re going to use this public report of our fundraising to evaluate the strength of our campaign. If we’re able to show she has strong grassroots support on our FEC report, we can send them a powerful message: Katie—and our movement for working people—is here to stay.

It's critical that we end the second quarter of 2021 with the strongest fundraising report possible, John.
If we fall short of our quarterly goal and can’t show that our movement has grown on our FEC report, it could be a strong indicator for Republican operatives to start flooding loads of money into our district and finding a strong challenger.
Katie doesn't take any money from lobbyists, corporate PACs, or executives at Big Oil companies or Wall Street banks. Our campaign is built by small-dollar contributions from supporters like you, John.
Thanks for all of your support,
Katie Porter for Congress
