John,

This August there are pivotal primary elections taking place across Ohio and with more and more endorsements being announced, it is clear that the corporate wing of the Democratic party is trying to stop the progressive movement in its tracks.

Just this month, Hillary Clinton endorsed one of Nina Turner's opponents, a moderate candidate that will not push forward progressive priorities like the Green New Deal.

Unlike the corporate establishment wing of the party, DFA and its one million-plus members are building a totally new kind of politics, one rooted in economic, social, and racial justice.

For years, DFA members have done a way with the old, failed model by building something much better, in elections at every level.

Whether it's a local election for Mayor or a national election for Congress, DFA does what the establishment won't do: long-term organizing, year round engagement, new voter registration, people-powered persuasion, and aggressive GOTV efforts targeted at expanding the electorate.

But on the ground organizing driving one on one conversations with voters in the cities and towns that will decide these elections costs a lot of money. Can you chip in a few bucks right now to help DFA elect progressives across Ohio?

For years, under the guidance of establishment party leaders in D.C., Democrats have lost record numbers of elected offices to Republicans at the federal, state, and local level. Ohio might be the best example of why their strategy has failed.

Their old model emphasized chasing a small handful of mostly white, wealthy voters and ignoring everyone else. Campaigns and their consultants deliberately abandoned people of color, young people, rural voters, and those who struggle to make ends meet.

DFA members are taking the lead in building a better, more successful model.

This model emphasizes local power and supporting candidates that are the basis of a progressive, reflective majority -- such as mayoral candidate Sharetta Smith in Lima, Ohio, and Congressional candidate Nina Turner.

DFA members have been supporting progressive candidates running in key elections in Ohio for years, our own CEO Yvette Simpson is just one example. Can you help DFA take on the establishment in Ohio by rushing a contribution to us today?

You make this work possible.

Thanks for being a part of DFA and supporting a reflective, progressive 50 State Strategy.
